ABOUT YARRA VALLEY ZOO
Introducing the Koala Lodge Short-Term Accommodation and Respite at the Yarra Valley Zoo.
Tucked away in Mount Evelyn, east of Melbourne's CBD is our zoo run by our big friendly team of zookeepers. With over 500 native Australian animals. there's always something exciting happening. Through the NDIS, we offer short term accommodation to participants, where you can spend a night with koalas right outside your window. Experience our zoo at its full potential, both during the day and at night when the zoo truly comes alive.
JOIN US
Join our team and become a zookeeper with us during your stay. where you can come to feed a koala, walk dingoes, pat kangaroos, play with sugar gliders, handle snakes, birds and so much more!
Primary support is provided by two experienced zoo keepers (male & female) whom have nursing backgrounds.

maintains its structure and familiar rotations - All participants are treated equally and everyone (including staff) wear the same zoo uniform.
